I am always trying to find ways to make my curriculum more engaging. I think it's safe to say, all teachers do. But how they work to maintain engagement varies. My first go to was gamification, because I have a computer lab in my classroom, and game-based learning is a great strategy, but everyone doesn't have computers. Creativity can and does come in many different ways. When I go into other teachers rooms, I am always intrigued on how they work to keep students engaged. Songs, dance, playing parts in a play or movie are just some of the ways teachers achieve engagement. I am still working on developing more strategies for active learning. Below are links to projects where I stress creativity and individual expression, however, I will admit, they still rely on computers.
